Career
Duncan was one of the first students to study Law at the University College of the Northern Territory, which later became the Northern Territory University.
Duncan commenced practice in 1994 as a litigation solicitor practising in general litigation, worker’s compensation and commercial litigation. Duncan became a Partner in 1998.
Duncan has practiced law in the Northern Territory for over 15 years in a wide range of litigation areas.
In 2007 Duncan became the president of the Law Society of the Northern Territory. In 2008 he became the Northern Territory’s representative on the Law Council of Australia and remains in that role today.
