Career

Vince practised as a solicitor/advocate for 30 years in a large provincial town in western Victoria in partnership as McCulloch and Peters and as a sole practitioner as V.G.Peters & Co. The firm was accredited by Victoria Legal Aid as a panellist in indictable crime, summary crime and family matters.

This was punctuated by a two year stint with the Pitjantjatjara Council in Alice Springs in 1990-1991 and a year as a native title consultant to the Kimberley Land Council in 1998.

Before coming to Darwin Vince appeared regularly as counsel in all jurisdictions in Victoria in Family, Crime and Commercial matters including the Drug court and Koorie Court.

Vince came to Darwin in 2008 working for Hunt & Hunt where he has handled appearances in all jurisdictions in crime and family law and commercial disputes, as well as heading the commercial and property section before joining William Forster Chambers in 2009.

Mediation and ADR

Vince holds an accredited mediator’s certificate from La Trobe University in Melbourne and conducted mediations as part of his general practice in Victoria
