Career

Liz is a Territory local and was called to the bar and joined William Forster Chambers in July 2026, having worked as a solicitor-advocate from 2010 with the Litigation Division of the Solicitor for the Northern Territory and as a Prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (NT) from 2007.  Liz served as the Associate to the Honourable Chief Justice Brian Ross Martin from 2005-2006.

Liz has comprehensive government experience having worked in the Departments of Health, Housing, Education and the Attorney-General.

Liz has extensive experience as a Solicitor-Advocate within Government, including as Principal Lawyer, Civil Claims within the Solicitor for the Northern Territory.  She has appeared as an advocate in the Supreme Court, Local Court and various tribunals across the Northern Territory.

She was a Commissioner of Legal Aid from 2021-2026, a member of the Serious Sex Offender Referral Committee from 2019-2026, an ad hoc member of the Promotion and Grievance Review Tribunal in the Northern Territory Government and the legal member of various Health ethics committees.
