Career
Fiona began her career with Aboriginal Legal Aid in Katherine and spent over 10 years working as a criminal solicitor at the NT Legal Aid Commission, including a number of years as a specialist Youth Justice lawyer.
Fiona has extensive advocacy experience having appeared as counsel in criminal trials and appeals, including in the Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeal. She has also instructed in a successful appeal to the High Court of Australia.
Fiona has also specialised in disciplinary proceedings, having spent two years working in regulation, discipline and complaints investigations for the Law Society of the Northern Territory.
Fiona joined the NT Bar in 2023.
