Criminal law (including Youth Justice, Local and Supreme Court matters); criminal property forfeiture; professional disciplinary, regulatory and tribunal proceedings; care and protection matters; Domestic Violence Orders; coronial inquests and public inquiries; licensing; animal welfare; sports law; health law. 

Career 

Nicola is an experienced Criminal Lawyer having worked as a Federal Prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions before commencing at Legal Aid NT in 2012 where she practised as a criminal solicitor (including as a specialist Youth Justice lawyer) and then went on to hold roles that included Manager of the Darwin Crime Practice and Manager Client Services. 

Nicola has extensive experience in all types of criminal matters in the Supreme and Local Courts and a particular expertise in Youth Justice Court matters. She has appeared as counsel in criminal trials for offences ranging from serious violence and sexual offences, to drug matters and fraud. 

In August 2024, Nicola was called to the Bar and joined Murray Chambers. She joined William Forster Chambers in July 2026.  

Nicola is the Treasurer of the Criminal Lawyers Association of the NT and has held that roles since 2011.
