Angurugu Peacemaker Training – Groote Eylandt

William Forster Chambers’ Josh Ingrames has spent a week with the Community Justice Centre and local Peacemakers on Groote Eylandt, learning from their experience and providing mediation skills training. Josh has said “it’s a great privilege to be welcomed onto the island to spend time with some of the local leaders in Angurugu and Umbakumba and support such a great program. There is a great desire among the Peacemakers to see a change in the way their families deal with conflict in their communities, and they are already seeing some excellent progress in Umbakumba.”
